The Center for Black, Brown, and Queer Studies (BBQ+) is an independent Center dedicated to interdisciplinary research, pedagogy, and mentorship in critical race, Indigenous, postcolonial, and queer studies. BBQ+ is excited to share that we have partnered with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation for a new collaborative initiative in the form of the BBQ+ Critical Pedagogy Lab!

Eligibility
The Critical Pedagogy Lab brings together undergraduate students, faculty, scholars, and software developers in an inclusive space designed and dedicated to research and pedagogical innovation in higher education. It is open to:
Scholar Research Fellows will be current faculty or other teaching positions (including postdoctoral fellows and graduate students with teaching responsibilities).
Undergraduate Research Fellows will be currently pursuing an undergraduate or Bachelor’s degree.
Software Developer will be an experienced web developer and/or software engineer.
Scholars and students studying questions of race, gender, and colonialism, individuals from traditionally marginalized backgrounds, and individuals in HBCUs or MSIs are particularly encouraged to apply!

Research stipend: CPL research team members are offered a research stipend, which is based on their role:
Undergraduate researchers: $2000
Scholars/Faculty researchers: $10,000
Software Developer: Competitive salary commensurate with experience
